Yellow nutsedge or nutgrass as it's commonly known is that annoying lime green, grass-like weed that grows in your lawn during the hot summer months. You know, the weed that almost looks like grass but it's lime green instead grass green and grows twice as fast as the rest of the lawn. After your grass is cut this weed pops up twice as tall as your lawn almost overnight.
             
Nutsedge can be troublesome on virtually any lawn, but it is particularly troublesome on lawns with sprinkler systems.  In nature, nutsedge grows naturally in wetland areas, so the steady water from irrigation will creates a wetlands like environment in which nutsedge will thrive.
           
Because nutsedge is a unique type of plant, it takes a separate treatment to eliminate it. But I can eliminate it from your lawn.
