If your lawn is thin or has large or small dead spots slicer seeding is an outstanding solution to rejuvenate your lawn.
I have a slicer seeding machine (also known as a power seeding machine) that I run over your lawn. This machine cuts little grooves in the soil approximately 2 ½ inches apart and actually plants the grass seed in the grooves. By planting the seed in the ground you greatly increase the seed to soil contact which is crucial for good seed germination. Slicer seeding also reduces the amount of seed that is washed away by heavy rain, as well as reducing the amount of seed that the birds can eat.
Before I would seed your lawn I would evaluate it. Then we could decide what type of grass seed would be best for you. (Bluegrass, Ryegrass, Fescue, etc). The proper amounts of lime and fertilizer would also be put down at the time of the power seeding.
Slicer seeding is an amazing process. I’ve been slicer seeding lawn for over 25 years, and every time I complete a job I’m amazed at how much seed grows and how quickly the new grass fills in to a lush green lawn.
If you think your lawn might benefit from slicer seeding, feel free to call me anytime at 609-758-3038, or e-mail me at info@randyslawncareservice.com or simply click on the request a quote icon and fill out the simple form.
I look forward to hearing from you……
